
Cradles wants to start out by thanking all of our supporters. The Cradles Community comes first. Cradles has been putting out several campaigns recently to give our community opportunities for engagement and access. There are more to come. It’s awesome to see all Cradians coming together to make the community great.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Cradles has an announcement. We are planning our tokenomics and usages for the main token and found the perfect way to redesign the utility of the token. We discovered a way to make Cradles like Marvel, a universe. We chose to make the token focus on Cradles and Cradles’ related mini-games and projects.
So the first big event is we changed our main token name from DRPC to CRDS, Cradles Coin. This will make the token more associated with Cradles and its utility in Cradles and the mini games. We have developed a mechanism that is completely different from what we see in GameFi and the metaverse right now.
Presently, games and metaverse projects are churning out the same things, copying games like Axie because it worked.
Cradles never copies and finds a way to do things differently, and better. Cradles will let players use CRDS and inject them into NFTs for enhancement. Also, players can withdraw tokens whenever they choose. This means you stake your tokens into NFTs, making them more secure and reliable. This costs players nothing extra but offers the ability to hunt more animals and monsters. Cradles has developed the perfect pairing of staking, NFTs, and enhanced game play.
No longer will you dump money for more NFTs to get into the game, instead stake, then players can continue playing the game at almost no cost. It’s the perfect mechanism and this is the first time the game field will use the staking mechanism naturally. Players avoid losing money because they are staking tokens in their own NFT.
LIMITS ON CRYSTALS OR IN GAME NFTS
We won’t just sell a ton of powerful weapons or expensive tools to guilds, by staking, and adopting the game early, players will get their precious NFTs. Those that join later miss out on some early NFTs.
DO CHARACTERS GAIN EXPERIENCE OR LEVEL UP
Cradles is nearly perfect and combines features from traditional games and crypto games. This is risky, but we knew we could do it. In regard to game design, in traditional games like WoW and Black Desert, players have levels. But in games like Minecraft, Sandbox, and Decentraland there are no levels. They lack levels because there is no specified route for players to get experience and level up.
MMO games with levels have a strong background story, which Cradles does have, but levels actually limit the game. Cradles solved this. Cradles has a strong story, and players are part of the SPARK traveling back from the future. Cradles is also a metaverse that is extremely similar to the real world. Do people walk around with levels on their head in the real world?
To make a strong background MMO Metaverse, do you add levels? Cradles decided to let the levels be the proficiency of weapons and tools. Also experience can be gained on weapons and tools. Once a player is more familiar with one weapon or tool, they will earn more experience on it and subsequently earn more skills.
Also, there are some hidden tasks for players to learn the strongest skills, like becoming a fisherman near the water, or a blacksmith who is the top killer in Cradles world.
TIME LAPSE GAME APPLICATIONS
The time system or time lapse exists everywhere, even in the city-states. The time lapse is also applied to enemies and monsters. Animals can go extinct, and they will have their own lifespan. Monsters controlled by the Boss will also have a life span. With this mechanism we think about what happens if one animal went extinct. Players would never be able to hunt them and get their specific NFTs or items. That is how we maintain the rarity of NFTs, instead of directly controlling the numbers.
In the modern world, there are a limited number of dinosaur bones. Time gives dinosaur bones rarity in the real world. That is the spirit of Cradles that was first outlined in the whitepaper. Time creates rarity, not some arbitrary restriction on the quantity.
IF ALL PLAYERS LOSE AGAINST PLAGUER AND DISASTER, DOES THE SEASON END
Cradles will not be so hard that all players will lose an invasion or chaos time. It would not be a game if the enemy was unable to be defeated. Plaguer and Disaster are not the only enemies in the game. Cradles is like nothing you’ve seen before. We cannot tell all the gameplays, just like WoW cannot tell you all of the tasks and stories simply because once a player plays it, they know it.
Plaguer and Disaster won’t be too hard to defeat, but they won’t be easy either. There will be a balance in cradles.
With a game that evolves from prehistoric, to modern, and future there are instances and different civilizations. Sooner or later Cradles will reach modern times. The modern world is metaverse and the other worlds with prehistoric and future time are more like a game.
That’s why we have an evolving system here and disasters won’t be defeated in the modern world. That is why we need doctors and nurses. In prehistoric times we need Shaman.
That’s the game design and also that is the way God designed the real world.
MORE DETAILS ABOUT CRADLES AND METATHON
Illuvium’s CEO and Republic asked Cradles to be involved in Metathon. We’ve read through the documents, and it sounds very interesting. Cradles also needs more help with some projects on EIP-3664 and on the development side.
The Metathon is more like a hackathon. We will release some tasks for the adventurers to complete. Once they complete the tasks, they will win a grant from us for 40k USD. We will continue to release details on twitter and discord so stay tuned for updates on the Metathon.
WITH THE TIME INTRODUCTION, WILL A DIFFERENT WORLD EVOLVE — IS THE WORLD AN EIP-3664 NFT
Cradles itself is being built as an NFT. You are not playing the game, you are playing on an NFT. The word NFT is also becoming tiresome. The original point of an NFT is to distinguish this kind of token from ETH and BTC, those are ERC-20 tokens. But why are all the items in game tokens?
This is annoying. Since we already discovered how to use EIP-3664 properly, we will define two kinds of items in the metaverse.

In the real world, you don’t want your toothbrush to be an NFT, a token, right? A toothbrush is a necessary common article, not an NFT. Cradles will redefine it.
ARE IN-GAME NFTS UNLIMITED
The word ‘limited’ and ‘unlimited’ are not accurate. You can say everything’s number is limited. Your toothbrush number is unlimited because you can buy a large quantity of them, but it is limited because this kind of toothbrush will eventually stop being produced. So, all items in game will be a limited number.
ARE THERE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES TO THE CHAIN PLAYERS CHOOSE
Cradles will support all the chains. We also came up with our own DAO and decentralized mechanism to make the game run properly. Details on this will come out later. We will let players choose the best chain for them, but we will also give out recommendations.
DO THE NFTS HAVE A SPECIFIED AGING PERIOD OR DO THEY DEGRADE WITH TIME
Things are a little bit different, you won’t lose your NFTs in Cradles. But you will need to repair it once it is old and rusted. For example, if a player holds a dinosaur bone, this item would be extremely rare in the modern world. So the player who keeps a bone stored in their warehouse, their NFT would gain in rarity overtime. A warehouse secures NFTs properly.
IF NPCS CAN DIE, WHO GIVES MISSIONS TO THE PLAYERS
NPCs will die and change but you will get missions and tasks by other NPCs for sure. If James died, players would get missions from James IV, or James IXV.
WILL PLAYERS STILL BE DISCONNECTED FROM THE GAME WHEN ENTROPY IS TOO HIGH
We deleted this mechanism. We are an entropy and time system, but won’t make players wait to play. Cradles wanted to design the time system perfectly, and now it is. So we won’t ban players from getting into the game. We are working on a new version of the whitepaper to illustrate this. There are a few leaks that we can hint at. We will have seven city-states, and each city-state has a lord. Also, an In-game DAO will likely come true.
A RARITY CHART FOR NFTS
There is a rarity table but it is not settled yet. The debugging process will help with that and we will release it soon. With EIP-3664, the most precious items are not NFTs themselves, but the components. There will always be limited components for the NFTs. For example, its nearly Christmas, maybe there will be Christmas hats for the Dragontars.
